My partner and I had a truly wonderful stay at Bessietown Country guesthouse. Margaret and John were exceptional hosts - warm, welcoming, and delightfully chatty. Our room was spacious, immaculately clean, and provided the perfect setting for a restful night's sleep. Breakfast was a lovely experience, made even more special by their thoughtful accommodations for my dietary needs. As I can't have dairy or gluten, they went out of their way to provide special milk, butter, and bread, ensuring my meal was prepared separately with care.

An absolutely beautiful guest house

in a serene pastural setting in the English/Scottish countryside. The hosts are lovely folk who couldn't have been more accommodating and friendly. My room was nothing short of stunning - comfortable, beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. The property is set in beautiful gardens and the guest facilities are first class. There was even a small shared lounge/dining area where I was able to microwave a ready meal I had purchased on route. It was very easy to see why this property gains such well-deserved high ratings as it really is a beautiful place to stay. The breakfast was cooked to perfection and very hearty. It kept me going the whole day. I would return here again in a heartbeat and will undoubtedly stay here the next time I'm in the area! Very highly recommended and a massive thanks to my hosts for a wonderful stay!
