Local produce

We pride ourselves on offering one of the best breakfasts in Cumbria and an excellent evening meal. Any good chef will tell you that the ingredients – fresh and with an emphasis on quality and flavour – make all the difference and Bessiestown is no exception.

We are frequently asked where guests can buy such good meat, fish, dairy produce, fruit, vegetables, jams and conserves and we are delighted to include details of some of our key suppliers here. We also stock produce such as preserves and honey as well as local craft goods and cards in our on site Post Office which is run by our daughter, Maria.
